Why this exists

Why I started this

I’m not a financial advisor, and Beyond the Noise isn’t a sales funnel. It started the way a lot of good things do — with my own problem. As I got closer to retirement, I found that most of what’s written about it is either too vague to act on or too technical to trust, and almost all of it is trying to sell you something.

So I did the work myself: read the research, built the spreadsheets, tested the tools, and turned what I learned into a plan I could actually follow. This channel and this site are that work, cleaned up and shared.

What this is not

Beyond the Noise is education, not advice. I don’t know your full situation, I’m not your advisor, and nothing here is a recommendation to buy, sell, or do anything specific. Before you act on anything you learn here, talk it through with a qualified professional who knows your circumstances.

How the site is built

There is no account, no form, and no tracking. The calculators run in your browser and never send your numbers anywhere. The only thing kept on your device is a flag remembering that you accepted the Terms. If any of that ever changes, the Terms page changes first.
